2 ecologist take the day off and what do they do? Spend the whole day wondering around nature identifying everything they can, AWESOME!!
At College lakes Reserve one of Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust’s flagship nature reserves. They identified 70 species within 5 hours including 36 species of birds at the wetland reserve.
Firstly they identified all the wetland birds from wigeons, Shoveler ducks and lapwing to Mallards, Oystercatchers and Gadwells.
Then they stumbled upon breeding toads EVERYWHERE!!
and a beautiful mute swan.
As they wondered around they meet muntjac family.
What was amazing was a beautiful find a Snakeshead fritillary
