Woop finally a R ladies group in London.
I attend alot of tech and data science meet ups and the ratio of men to women is always terrible. So when I heard about this (someone though I had created it) I was super excited.
The launch event was a great succees, Chiin’s presentation was excellent about why people learn R, why people want to learn and the value of it as well as she ask the audience of about 50 women (and a couple men) what level of R understanding they had. To my suprise most of the room were new learners which was excellent and there was only a few of us in the room that would consider ourselves advance users.
I am very excited that there are so many women wanting to learn R and am super excited to help make this community learn and love R.
Here are some tweets of the event
